Social media platforms are built to capture attention, but for many young users, extended and repeated use has led to serious harm. Internal research and public reporting have raised concerns that certain platforms may encourage addictive behaviors and negatively affect mental health, especially when use begins during childhood or adolescence.

You May Be Eligible If

Claims are reviewed carefully and must meet defined age, usage, and legal criteria. In general, eligibility may apply if:

  • You used one or more social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, or YouTube
  • Your use occurred between the ages of 8 and 18
  • You are 25 years old or younger at the time of sign up
  • You used social media daily for an average of three or more hours
  • The use of social media caused or substantially contributed to one or more qualifying conditions
  • You received medical treatment for the injury, or the injury occurred within the last three months and you intend to seek treatment

Statute of limitations rules apply based on the type of injury, age at the time of harm, and whether the claim involves serious self harm or death
